Low self-esteem and lack of confidence are closely related and often accompany one another. Low self-esteem relates to the way we feel about ourselves, whereas a lack of confidence usually relates our perceived ability to perform a specific activity.
Sometimes low self-esteem or lack of confidence can have a significant negative effect on the way we live our lives. The fear of failure or lack of self- belief can prevent us from grasping opportunities. Perhaps you are not taking opportunities at work because you do not have the confidence to believe you can succeed or maybe you decline social opportunities because you feel that people will judge you negatively. These negative self-beliefs can affect us in so many ways.
Low self- belief is not something we are born with but something that is leant though life experience, perhaps criticism from a person or people in the past. Using hypnotherapy, I can work with you to re-programme those negative self-beliefs. I will help you to uncover your confident self and will build your self-belief so that you can approach life with the confidence that you can succeed and enjoy situations which you previously found challenging.
More often than not low confidence or low self-esteem is interlinked with many of the other treatments listed here such as weight loss or smoking.
